Child Safety Seat Techs

The Manchester Police Department currently has 8 certified child safety seat technicians, including two officers from the Traffic Division, four other officers, and two police service aids. Technicians attended a forty-hour training program and are required to pass a practical test as well as a written examination.

The Manchester Police Department inspects child safety seats for civilians, by appointment only. Appointments are generally on Wednesdays, varying in hours to accommodate all work schedules. To schedule a child safety seat inspections, call:
